Interview with Mary Munro
Mary Munro was born in Ballater and is a retired teacher. She is a author and poet and writes in Scots from the north east corner of Scotland. Here passion is the language, she was brought up with, from the Ballater area.
She has published three books, Deeside Reets, Tales in the Mither Tongue and Thro' the Mists O' Time.

The Battle of Culloden was Fought on the moor.
16th April 1746
1,300 Scots died and 1200 wounded and 560 taken prisoner.
 Government forces 52 dead and 260 wounded .
