Strathspe’ Away Is held each year. It is a music and dance weekend that offers entertainment and also classes in step dancing, instruments and song. In Kingussie this year the festival had a number of new tutors and performers for the sixth annual festival. Some of the well-known tutors were Jim Barry from Ireland, Maeve MacKinnon from Barra and Angus Nicolson from Skye as well as those from the 'Bellas', John Sikorski and Sarah Hoy and, of course, Dannsa's own regulars. The weekend entertainment was excellent with the fiddle-driven dance group leading the Saturday night Dannsa's Ceilidh Band debut.

Dannsa’s core group of three dancers - Caroline Reagh, Frank McConnell, and Sandra Robertson, and piper Fin Moore - always perform with live music - fiddle, pipes and Gaelic song. Regular musicians and singers that work with Dannsa’s are: Fiona MacKenzie, Gabe McVarish, Karen Steven, Liz MacLean, Mary-Ann Kennedy, and Ronan Martin and they have Guests perform with them regularly and include Alasdair Fraser, Andy Thorburn, Anna Murray, Annemarie MacRury, Arthur Cormack, Billy Jackson, David Boag, Donal Brown, Dougie Pincock, Eilidh MacKenzie.

Depending on the dance being performed the number and type of musicians vary. In this video three musicians accompany the dancers Caroline Reagh, Sandra Robertson, Frank McConnell and Fin Moore.
