The Estate Since it was built as a traditional highland estate in
1869 by Sir William Cunliffe Brooks M.P., Glen Tanar has been inviting
people to relax and enjoy the great outdoors amidst a beautiful 25,000
acre landscape encompassing farmland, river, pine forests and heather
clad moors.
Activities “Set against the magnificent backdrop of Royal Deeside and
the Cairngorms National Park, it is no surprise that Glen Tanar provides
an excellent choice of outdoor activities as diverse as fishing,
walking, mountain biking, bird watching, horse riding and traditional
sporting activities. “The range of activities on Glen Tanar Estate and
nearby is considerable, and means there is always something suitable for
the individual enthusiast, couples, families and children of all ages.”
